It is a website that offers space of knowledge, information, debates
and exchanges inside the context of contemporary jewellery.

Objetives

1_ Generic objective: from information to knowledge

The intention when creating Klimt02 was to show the work of contemporary artists and all those things that generates from it and can be found around this subject: know to inform, and to be informed to know.
Klimt02 proposes a selection based in very specific artistic principles, and in working together with contemporary jewellery world experts. Setting up a place where information can be attained, seen, found, contributed, consulted or swapped is the starting point of this project, which a part from that, would fill up a nowadays empty and disperse space with regard to this subject.

2_ Content’s objective: creation is intrinsically transverse

We understand contemporary jewellery as an artistic discipline where the work of art contains concept and message, and the value of the material is considered secondary.
Jewellery is an artistic discipline equal to any other and at the same time it reflects other art forms.
Klimt02 treats Jewellery as art and representation, giving special emphasis on the idea that creation is decided and necessarily transversal.

3_Objective of universality: local / global

We let everyone knows the contemporary jewellery situation existing in our country, and at the same time, international works are shown: the dimension is international.
Our artists are contrasted with the international context of creation. Knowledge is added to the artists as well as to the ‘culture users’ in general. The project is developed from Barcelona and Catalonia’s perspective and scope to the international community.

4_ Network objective: creation of knowledge nets and network

An international net of specialised co-operators, who will form a working team around klimt02, is being created.
Information is disseminated as well as collected setting up a forum to debate jewellery, having that way a communication reference area.

5_ Formal objective: present, accessibility and new technologies

To achieve easy accessibility we have chosen the web format, which allow you as users, an easy access from any P.C., and easy to send information giving you not only a fast, current and updated communication but also the possibility of handle, storing, disposing, or
offering to others a range of information of the best quality service and function.

Getting to know us gives you the possibility of knowing, and assessing creation. Klimt02 shows the creations existing in contemporary jewellery’s world.
This is our generic service, and at the same time, the reason for participating in the development of this area.

Our project is like a circle that transfers knowledge into emotion. After our range of art, which will become part of the real and contemporary everyday-live, will tempt you.

Promoting the acquisition of this kind of work is our way of following that circle, generating a feedback state where the artist and his or her creation, knowledge and emotions have thepossibility of being expressed and used.Therefore creation and art are profitable, in both spiritual and an economical manner.

_ Firmly consolidate art- jewellery in the world of arts, becoming, therefore a daily element in our lives.
_Assert and increase klimt02 net of experts, co-workers and users.
_Establish a functional dynamic between the academy and professional sector.

We are an ideal vehicle for the needs of public and private bodies interested in developing their sociocultural context.
