Artist statement
Jewelry. The craft provides a base. It represents a starting point from where to deal with things, organize them and make a ritual out of what is occurring.
Jewels are just the tool. The big project is the attempt to understand through the making of them. Pieces appear according to my most immediate needs. Which turns the manipulated matter into a map of my reality.

“White Form”
is a group of pendants made out of nylon. They are open structures that express my interest for plastic and to an unfinished process as a way of understanding an object. This group of pieces also explain my need to produce many elements to explain one concept. In this case is very graphic, pieces that look like letters compose collections that look like words.
