Statement

Each work is the template for the next.

The gross materialism and excessive ornamentation found in Baroque and Victorian are transformed into contemporary jewellery. Following the mourning jewellery is the preferred colour black. The materials used are black porcelain, resin and blackened metal, the metal pieces are originals of the nineteenth century.

Colours, diversity, materiality, quills and knobs, transparency and great variety of shapes of the underwater world are the sources of inspiration for the colourful work.
The work ‘Roxy´s World’ typifies the impressions for this underwater world and interprets them in a new way. Ancient and new materials, the porcelain and the plastics, are combined, above all the manual processing is often challenged: porcelain is dipped and enamelled, plastics are cast and modelled. Thereby, the structures of the surface can be experienced tactually or also visually.
