Eve Margus (1972). The style of the present jewelry designer is an excellent example of transparent sincerity and beauty. For the present artist the jewel is a decoration and a story-teller. It is a wordless communication revealing the artisan’s feelings through a piece of jewel forward to the bystanders. Kadri Mälk about her student`s work: Margus’ ear-rings are striking for their color, material and themes. The title “Self-deceptions” stands for ear-rings that end in a finely cut, little gesturing hand. It is as if these hands warn and explain, entice and hold back, but apart from their message they are highly attractive pieces of craftmanship.
