I often work overlapping layers of the same materials or with different materials combined together. But what Iʼm always looking for is the space in between the layers or inside a transparent material; this is an interesting private space. I started thinking about what private space means to me. Itʼs an intimate place, where to recover my memories, itʼs an empty room. I collected different patterns of old wallpaper and then I started to chiselling metal as if I draw on the wall. The boudoir, to me, belongs to this kind of room; it reminds me the good qualities of hiding places, when “hide” goes together with a sense of curiosity, seduction and scare.
